Receiver / Warehouse Assistant

Details:
Day Shift - Full time, Permanent
8:30 am - 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 8:30 am - 3:00 pm.


Location:2220 Midland Avenue, Unit 65, Scarborough, Ontario


Position Reports to:
Warehouse Supervisor

Estelle Designs is an importer and distributor of têxtiles and gift ware products to retail shops across Canada. Established in 1976, we have been offering quality products to our retail customers for the last 45 years.

We are currently looking for a new member to join our team, working in our warehouse primarily as a receiver, assisting with other areas in the warehouse as required.

Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy of items against a packing list or invoice.
• Organize and put away incoming shipments, placing overstock in boxes above regular shelves.
• Assist in other warehouse related functions as requested, such as packing outbound shipments, manually picking orders using a cart throughout the warehouse, and general cleaning.

Education:

High School Diploma


Skills and Qualifications:

• English language proficiency
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively independently as well as part of a team.
• Proficient communication skills, verbal and written.
• Must be able to comfortably lift 4050 lbs above your head

Working Conditions:

Working conditions are normal for an office/warehouse environment. Steel toed shoes are required. Occasional weekend and/or evening work and overtime may be required from time to time.


Experience:

1+ years warehouse experience in receiving or shipping receiving preferred.
