Location:

Shift:2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Sunday to Thursday

Specific Responsibilities
Duties generally include, but are not limited to the following;

  • Manage saleable and nonsaleable narcotic and controlled substances inventory including regular counts, replenishment, stock rotation and the morgue (may include receiving and put away).
  • Perform investigations of narcotics or controlled substances inventory discrepancies, customer claims, transportation issues and report all losses to Corporate Security and Health Canada as required.
  • Review and document suspicious transactions as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
  • Manage narcotic invoice signatures from customers and ensure noncompliant customers are cut off from ordering narcotics until documentation provided.
  • Manage narcotic and controlled substance customer returns and vendor returns. When required, ensure proper destruction of narcotics and controlled substances.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all vault combinations and narcotic area alarm codes.
  • Ensure vault combination is changed in alignment with Corporate Security and Health Canada requirements.
  • Ensure security of narcotic area keep area locked at all times, log visitors, alarm and lock area when not in use or not on premises.
  • Ensure alarm testing is conducted according to Corporate Security and Health Canada requirements.
  • Ensure narcotic and controlled substances are maintained in the correct environment (vault or cage) for the substance.
  • Ensure all documentation is provided and retained in regard to destruction of narcotic and controlled substances.
  • Pick, audit, and pack narcotics and controlled substances orders as required.
  • Ensure prepared narcotic and controlled substances shipments are secured prior to shipment and that COS procedures are followed at all times.
  • Ensure appropriate reporting is provided to Health Canada at required intervals.
  • If mandated by management or the Regulatory Officer (stipulated training required), act as Assistant Regulatory Officer for:
  • the proper and adequate implementation of SOP's
- the training of personnel on SOP's and GMP related topics;
- temperature monitoring and troubleshooting temperature related issues;
- ensuring compliance with the Quality System including, but not limited to, Change Controls, Deviations, Recalls, Returns, Customer Complaints, and GMP self-inspections.

  • Cleaning and sanitation as required
  • Communicate with ICC supervisor and management to ensure that potentially compromised products are removed and placed in a secured quarantine area for assessment.
  • Responsible to ensure that all records related to narcotics or controlled substances products are accurate, retained and follow Good Documentation Practices.
  • Perform all tasks with the scope of all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) related to the job function.
  • Other duties as directed by the QPIC or supervisor.

General Responsibilities

Position Requirements

  • Completed post secondary education in a related field is preferred
  • 3 years of experience in a distribution center/warehouse/manufacture environment or similar position is required
  • Proven ability to be a team player and work in a team environment
  • Strong focus of Customer Service and commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to challenge processes and seek out process improvements or creative ways of completing tasks.
