PROFILE
Our Vancouver office is seeking a talented Billing Coordinator to join our Accounting team. As a Billing Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in our Paperless Billing processes.

Attention to detail and a strong dedication to providing outstanding internal and external client services are paramount for success in this role.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for paperless billing procedures
  • Finalizing File Opening, alongside other Firm members
  • Finalizing Disbursement Uploads
  • Communicating directly with other firm members in verbal and written format
  • Any other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite with a strong knowledge of Excel
  • Proficiency using Aderant Expert accounting system
  • Knowledge of law firm billing processes and understanding of legal billing software, is preferable
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other Firm members, with the aptitude to take care of clients' needs in a professional and courteous manner
  • Capacity to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Able to prioritize and to redefine priorities when necessary
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with billing lawyers, legal assistants, and external clients, and respond to any queries regarding the billing process
  • Produce a high quality and quantity of work product, occasionally under tight timelines
  • Handle stress in a businesslike manner
  • Strong attention to detail

EDUCATION:


  • High school diploma
  • Post-Secondary courses in accounting, is preferable

EXPERIENCE:


  • Three years work experience in an accounting environment
  • Experience working in a billing role, is preferable
  • Experience in a professional services firm
