    Minimum Qualifications


    1. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics
    2. 3 years of finance experience in an analytical role

    Preferred Qualifications


    Experience in bank treasury or with a mortgage originator, investor, or aggregator. Knowledge of funding programs (processes and structures) including asset-backed securitization and other programs. Knowledge of hedging programs, fixed income products, and interest rate derivatives. Strong knowledge of data analysis, including proficiency with data visualization tools. Knowledge of data structure and querying tools. Having or working towards the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accounting (CPA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM) or other professional designation is an asset.

    Job Summary


    The Capital Markets team is responsible for the market execution of the organization's funding programs. As a Capital Markets Analyst, you'll support the Capital Markets team by providing accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions. This role will play an integral part in building out the Capital Market funding strategy with a focus on product suite and profitability.

    Responsibilities


    1. Participate in the analysis of potential funding program opportunities
    2. Contribute towards the support of a diverse set of funding programs including asset-backed securitization programs such as National Housing Act Mortgage Backed Securities and Canada Mortgage Bonds
    3. Contribute towards the implementation, management, and execution of funding programs and transactions (including securitization)
    4. Contribute towards the development and preparation of reporting for internal and external parties, including investors
    5. Keep an eye to continual optimization of existing and newly created processes to increase efficiency of existing programs while minimizing operational risk
    6. Contribute towards the research, evaluation, and recommendation of new lending programs and implementation thereof
    7. Contribute towards developing pricing and risk models related to funding programs
    8. Contribute towards planning, forecasting, and analysis of the capital markets funding strategy
    9. Monitor product pricing and performance, ensuring product suite competitiveness
    10. Support ad hoc analytical projects for the finance team and executive leadership
    11. Facilitate understanding of the competitive landscape by conducting market research and studies
    12. Collaborate closely with other functional departments including Risk, Legal, Data Intelligence, and Technology
