Avalon Gardens is a seniors independent living condominium. We provide support every day of the week, 24 hours daily.

There needs to be a First Aid Attendant in the building at all times, so there
tends to be frequent call-in opportunities, adding to your scheduled shifts.

TYPES OF SHIFT DUTIES:

HOUSEKEEPER:

Cleaning & sanitizing common areas and/or resident suites (24/7)
FIRST AID ATTENDANT:medical issuesfor our seniors & our staff and cleaning need
JANITORIAL: Cleaning & sanitizing of commercial kitchen, and special cleaning assignments.

SHIFT AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

MID SHIFT: 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm ( First Aid Attendant; sanitizing common area; special cleaning assignments)

~
EVENING SHIFT: 3:1- 11:15 pm ( First Aid Attendant - The 1st half of shift MAY fluctuate between sanitizing & other cleaning duties. The 2nd half is Commercial Kitchen cleaning)
~
WEEKEND DAYS: 7:15 am to 3:15 pm (Common area sanitizing & other cleaning duties; First Aid Attendant)

WEEKEND AVAILABILITY _required for ALL SHIFT TIMES.
Accepting short-notice CALL-IN SHIFTS awards you an
extra hourly premium of $1.50/hour on that unscheduled shift
.

ON-CALL shifts will be scheduled in advance whenever possible.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Valid first aid certificate (OFA level 1) can be obtained at a one day course; Preferred COVID-19 vaccination (3 min.), *Tuberculosis clearance test, *criminal record clearance.

*Cost will be reimbursed on your first pay stub.


TRANSPORTATION TO WORK:
Ideally, we are looking for someone who has their own vehicle. If commuting by BUS,
please provide proof that transportation for these shifts is available (inc. bus connections) to your residence. This is non-negotiable for working employment.
