Position Summary:


Reporting to the General Manager, Equipment Division, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for promoting Procon's safety culture and leading a team of employees who are responsible for ensuring the effective organization, direction and distribution of warehouse services to our internal stakeholders, including material availability, asset recovery activities, materials handling, warehousing and inventory control.


The Supervisor is responsible for, adhering to all internal controls and practices, maintaining the highest level of professionalism, and upholding the values of Procon.


Responsibilities:

The Warehouse Supervisor is a key member of the Equipment Division.

The role responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Provide oversight and direction to all warehousing activities, which includes, but is not limited to personnel management, parts receiving, picking, storage, distribution activities including freight, logistics and returns.
  • Lead inventory management for the organization, ensure inventory accuracy, optimum levels, are maintains t meet operational needs.
  • Actively work on identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects related to materials management to improve safety, quality and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure crossfunctional coordination of warehouse activities are supporting operational requirements.
  • Accountable for ensuring all processes are created, implemented and are accurately completed in a timely manner.
  • Properly identify and categorize items within our ERP and Soft Inventory environment to assign as Active, Obsolete, RTV (return to vendor), scrap or available for sale.
  • Act as the primary liaison with suppliers and existing customer outlets
  • Coach, mentor and cultivate a highly engaged, inclusive and productive team.
  • Any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements:


  • 10 + years of relevant warehouse experience including 5+ year of previous supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with ERP Systems considered an asset.
  • Postsecondary education in Industrial Operations, Transportation & Logistics, Supply Chain Management & Information Systems, Applied Engineering Science or Business Mgmt. is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, influence, develop and coach.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including: a variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day; repeated twisting at the torso while lifting and pulling inventory from shelves; regular lifting and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, occasional climbing of ladders; usage of pallet jacks.
  • For this position, you will be required to undergo a background check.
