JOB SUMMARY
The Food & Beverage Casual Dining Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of our Casual Dining operation.

The role oversees multiple outlets including Starbucks, Grouse Grind Coffee Bar, Lupins, Peak Juice Bar, Rusty Rail, Beaver Tails, Grizzly Lookout and other seasonal outlets.

This person has a passion for food, beverages and leading teams that deliver memorable guest experiences.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Report directly to the Director of Food & Beverage
  • Manage the daily operations of Casual Dining outlets
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures of casual dining operations are adhered to
  • Providing premium customer service at all times and maximizing customer service satisfaction
  • Support and communicate with all other F&B outlets and departments within Grouse Mountain Resorts
  • Maintaining cash floats, cash outs and deposits (overages/shortages)
  • Maintain relationships with external company partners
  • Manage the Hiring, training, scheduling and supervision of staff members
  • Ensure all equipment is in working order
  • Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of all service areas
  • Control of labour costs, liquor cost and associated expenses
  • Work with employees to sustain a healthy and positive work environment and build a strong sense of team
  • Working within progressive disciplinary guidelines
  • Monitor staff to ensure top performance and administer probation and annual evaluations
  • Process payroll duties in timely manner and accordingly to pay period schedule
  • All other duties as required

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position proves direct supervision to the entire Food and Beverage Casual Dining outlets and operation.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent leadership, communication, customer service and organizational skills through a strong work ethic, innovative thinking, and a positive attitude.
  • Strong ability to multitask, prioritize and delegate duties amongst a team, with a focus on safety.
  • Excellent work ethic and attitude, with the ability to thrive in a highvolume, challenging environment.
  • Minimum three years of highvolume restaurant management experience
  • Postsecondary education in Hospitality Management preferred
  • Experience scheduling staff to maintain labour targets
  • Strong skills with Restaurant Management Software; Microsoft Outlook; Point of Sale Systems preferred
  • Strong problem solving & decisionmaking skills
  • Food Safe certification
  • Valid Serving it Right
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
  • Available for five days per week and to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends, and holidays

WORKING CONDITIONS

The Food & Beverage Manager, Casual Dining will perform some of their duties outdoors and may work in all different kinds of weather conditions.

Hours of Operation are weather dependent. Due to the nature of the business, this position requires flexibility in terms of your work schedule. A variety of work schedules may include a variety of start times, including shifts on weekends and statutory holidays. Shifts require standing for long periods of time, lifting, twisting, shoveling and other forms of manual tasks.


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$60,000 to $75,000 per year
