Key Responsibilities:
- Play a key role within Mahler's leadership team working collaboratively with sales, production, and the two owners of the business.
- Estimate per part costing for Mahler's clients in response to RFQs which includes material procurement, vendor related costs (e.g. heat treat, plating, welding), tooling, and machining or manufacturing costs.
- Coordinate the procurement process by requesting quotes and executing purchase orders for raw material, tooling, subcontracted services, and miscellaneous business purchases.
- Seek to find best pricing for Mahler's customers through price hunting, negotiating, and sourcing new vendors while preserving our relationships and quality standards.
- Input material orders into Mahler's job tracking system.
- Interface with Mahler's clients and vendors in a professional and customer centric manner by responding to requests, questions, and solving problems.
- Play a key role in vendor management including monitoring supplier performance and problem solving nonconformance issues.
- This is a role on our leadership team. We are nimble and a willingness to step up where required into other areas of the business will be needed.
Experience Required:
- 15 years' of experience in purchasing, technical sales, quality control, and/or machining.
- Familiar with technical part drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and great at math
- Experience with an ERP system/implementation is an asset (on roadmap) but not a requirement.
- Engineering degree is a bonus but not a requirement
- Background/passion for machining or quality control including FAI is a bonus not a requirement.

Benefits & Compensation
- Base: $70,000 $75,000.
- Bonus Plan based on Company and Individual Performance
