Our People team at Klohn Crippen Berger (KCB) is growing and we are looking for a Manager, Total Rewards to join our team.

The position is based in Vancouver, has two direct reports and is reporting to the Director, Human Resources.

As a Manager, Total Rewards at KCB, you will have the opportunity to roll up your sleeves and use your expertise to add value on and support our global business operations on compensation, group insurance, benefits, and retirement programs.

In addition, this role will oversee our HRIS and the system's growth and development. If you love the idea of being a strategic, trusted advisor to the business as well as getting the opportunity to work on a variety of high-priority people initiatives, then this role is for you
So what's your role as Manager, Total Rewards look like?

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to our global business; supporting our Human Resource Business Partners (HRBP) and business unit leaders in Total Rewards.
  • Collaborate with our global HR leaders, engaging in collaborative information sharing, problem solving, and decisionmaking in the context of a seamless service delivery model.
  • Ensure total reward programs are developed and implemented to be inclusive, equitable, diverse and are sustainable in the longterm.
  • Oversee HR analytics to drive insights, including selfservice
  • Oversees and manages global benefit programs.
  • Stay current on best practices and trends related to total rewards areas and HRIS tools.

Who we are looking for:

For this role we would expect you to have:


  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience working with compensation programs (base salary and short term incentives), ideally in a global setting.
  • Experience working with benefit programs specific to Canada and ideally globally.
  • Experience working with a human resource information system (HRIS) and specifically Dayforce an asset.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or a related field.
  • Ability to think creatively and understand there is not a one size fits all solution.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Resiliency to handle the unexpected, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Strong ability to negotiate and influence at all levels of the organization as well as build and maintain credibility at all levels of the organization.

What will help you succeed:


  • Proven ability to excel in a matrixed work environment and manage multiple competing priorities.
  • A combination of experience in the following areas: employee relations, performance management, learning and development, conflict resolution, talent acquisition, total rewards and business consulting.
  • You take ownership of your work and pride on getting things done.
The salary for this position is $105,000 to $125,000 per year. Salary is based on applicable experience, education, and skill level.
