As a Social Worker II, you will be a member of an inter-disciplinary team and provides a range of social work services to patients and their families


Your services may include:

psychosocial assessment, resource-based interventions, individual, group and family treatment, risk screening, counselling, case management and coordination, transition or discharge planning, and prevention, promotion and public awareness activities.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).


Additional Required Qualifications:

Strong clinical assessment and counselling skills. Recent experience in working with patients/families in crisis. Current BCLS-HCP certification through Heart and Stroke Foundation. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in adult acute in-patient or an out-patient clinical areas. In-depth knowledge and experience in working with Income Security programs at community/provincial /federal levels required.

Experience with interventions that align with legislative acts, housing, and Alternate Decision Making processes and options, community resources, financial resources, end of life, domestic violence, addictions and counselling.

Demonstrated extensive knowledge of community resources.
