Expertec is a leading turnkey provider of van and truck outfitting in Western Canada, headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta.

We design and install custom equipment and accessories for industrial and commercial service vehicles including aluminum slide-in service bodies, Spacekaps, van shelving, flat decks, mobile lube skids, top quality truck caps and canopies.

We are adding a Shop Manager to our team in
Edmonton, AB.

Job details

  • Full time
  • Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Weekends off.
  • Full Benefits after 90 days including Health, Dental, and Vision coverage.

Purpose


The Shop Manager is responsible for ensuring that the production deliverables are met and to manage a team of installers, welders, and shipping receivable staff.

This includes a range of tasks including performance management, technical oversight, and administrative duties which maximize performance for this team.

The list of duties and responsibilities is not exhaustive and additional duties or responsibilities may be required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality assurance throughout the production process.
  • Manage Vehicle Technicians to meet the personal and operational goals for each member.
  • Plan, schedule, direct, and execute production activities.
  • Increase motivation and work efficiency through manufacturing best practices.
  • Develop and implement costeffective processes that are measurable.
  • Continuously research and attend educational courses to remain adaptive to changes in the market and respond to customer demands.
  • Maintain current knowledge on the market and industry trends.
  • Other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in business management or a related degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of demonstrated progressive management roles in a manufacturing environment.
  • Effective multitasker who is organized, selfdriven and dependable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Able to lift, carry, and move a minimum of 50lbs as well as kneel, walk, and bend multiple times per shift.

Job Types:

Salary:
$70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
