Billing Clerk - Vaughan, Canada - Proactive Supply Chain Group
Description
PURPOSE:
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Responding immediately to customer questions and complaints and notifying them of any delays in the delivery schedule.
- Entering, updating, and processing customer orders on various interfaces.
- Accurately enter data and create various reports for internal / external use.
- Scheduling pickup and delivery appointments for drivers.
- Coordinate with billing to ensure accurate invoicing.
- Collaborates and offers assistance to other team members in delivering optimal transportation service solutions.
- Performs related duties as assigned by the Operations Manager and General Manager.
- Wellversed in supply chain management principles and practices
- Complete all tasks accurately and timely
- Organize weekly billing reports with back up and POD's.
- Verify and enter customer sell rates with agreed customer rate tariffs.
- Confirm accruals are correct with our agreed costs from partners.
- Review any problem payables and resolve billing errors.
- Run customer weekly shipping reports for various customers.
- Help organize filing of shipment files.
- Assist accounts receivable departments with collecting monies from customers.
- Show professionalism everyday towards all departments, staff, carriers, customers and drivers.
- Attitude is expected to be positive, motivated, and focused at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1+ years of experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
LANGUAGE:
English
COMPUTER:
Microsoft Office Software, Outlook, WMS system
PERSONAL:
Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Extremely organized and detail oriented.
- Must possess a strong work ethic.
- Strong communication (both verbal and written), problem solving, and decisionmaking skills.
- Strong knowledge of North American geography.
- Experience with cross border shipping requirements.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, tactical skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
