Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.


Position Overview:


The Accounts Payable Clerk, Level 1 is responsible for the timely and accurate payments to suppliers for goods and services acquired for the Winnipeg Health Region's operations and for providing a database of information about payables and payments for reporting purposes.


Experience:


  • Minimum 1 year experience within the last 5 years on a computerized accounting environment required
  • Six months experience in SAP preferred

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate):


  • Completion of high school education, Manitoba standards required.
  • Completion of postsecondary computerized accounting courses within the last 8 years required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Certification/Licensure/Registration:


  • Not Applicable

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Typing minimum 50 WPM required Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written) in the English language.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines and manage a large volume workload.
