What is the job about?
Grundfos Pumps Corporation is seeking a Service Specialist to join our Service Delivery team in Canada.


As a Service Specialist, you are a self-starter and autonomous individual responsible for providing technical and service support of Grundfos pumps and controls, provide start up and commissioning service, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance for customers.


Your main responsibilities:


  • Act as the single point of contact for all Service related matters within the specific geographic area.
  • Responsible for service support of Grundfos pumps and controls
  • Provide technical and service support, as well as technical expertise.
  • Responsible to work out commissioning reports and check lists for accountable pumps.
  • Provide pump start up and recommissioning service, as well conduct site visits to troubleshoot/repair product.
  • Provide system diagnostics, analysis and recommendations as required.
  • Contribute to the preparation of quotes as requested by the supervisor.
  • Responsible to conduct technical analysis of failures, document and report on quality related issues and product failures, as well provide timely communication to colleagues; document processes, recommend changes to processes and policies.
  • During slow period working with the local sales organization prospect existing customer but promoting the Service offer portfolio.
  • Provide input for development of strategic plans and attend and participate in various meetings, and special projects as assigned.

Work conditions:

  • Conditions that would need you to crawl, kneel, climb, reach, crouch etc and lift/push/pull up to 25lbs frequently to 50lbs occasionally.

Your background

We imagine that you have:

  • A technical certificate, trade school, or equivalent in a technically related field (electrical, mechanical and controls) OR postsecondary education equivalent to a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 years of work experience in the industry or comparable environment.
  • Knowledge of pumps, pump systems, pump controllers and their main principles.
  • Present great aptitude toward digital technology and willing to embrace the technical transformation of the industry.
  • Experience using testing equipment and tools, as well as excellent handeye dexterity is essential for this position.
  • Good attention to detail and desire for quality work.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in the English language using the telephone and in person and ability to understand and use written or verbal control and work instructions.
  • Ability to work proactively, handle simultaneous projects, and anticipate situations and management's needs.
  • Ability to manage time and resources and adapt to sudden and changing priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment with a sense of urgency while maintaining a positive disposition.
  • Ability to interact respectfully, effectively and professionally with customers and coworkers.
