Inventory Controller
Position:
The inventory controller is responsible for the day-to-day inventory control for the facility, ensuring proper inventory levels are up to date.
The position is responsible for leading all inventory cycle counting, verification of required documentation, and product counts by conducting daily audits of inventory, tracking and distribution of product.
Responsibilities also include reconciling and reporting cannabis inventory surplus, product returns, waste, damages, ensuring strict compliance with company policies and procedures.
This role also assists with non-cannabis materials including but not limited to packaging materials, excise stamps, and other production inputs as assigned.
Cannabis Inventory (70-80%)Non-Cannabis (30-20%)
Responsibilities:
n Execute inventory control and tracking systems designated by Compliance and followed company policy
n Daily/weekly audit the inventory, cycle count and monthly/ quarterly full inventory count
- Maintain accurate counts of cannabis inventory by doing daily counts and performing reconciliations when necessary
- Maintain compliance with all regulated inventory documentation as directed by Compliance Department.
- Identify and resolve inventory discrepancy and related issues in a collaborative, effective, and timely manner
n Collaboratively work with different teams to ensure receiving of inbound shipments, verification, storing, allocating and using.
n Monitor inventory movements
n Assist Quality team to ensure products are tagged according to stage, categories, lot coding, and quality status and is accompanied by all necessary paperwork.
n Maintain a clean and organized work environment
n Work with Compliance Assistant to ensure all physical movements and count match with paperwork to ensure accuracy of inventory update and adjustment as needed on timely manner
n Support in creating policies, procedures, and inventory SOPs and forms to ensure best practices are being followed
n The Inventory Controller reports to the Head of Compliance
n Other duties as assigned by Head of Compliance or Operation Supervisor
Physical requirements
n Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds to be able to stand for long periods of time, sit, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach.
Qualifications:
Inventory Control: 1-3 years, required at least 1 year
Any degree/certificate in Inventory/Supply Chain/accounting or related experience preferred
Cannabis experience preferred with understanding of ERP (Ex: Cropsify, Sage X3, SAP)
Familiar with Cannabis products and categories a plus
Knowledge of using Microsoft Office and ability to use Excel (Dynamics, 365) for reporting
Detail-oriented
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong teamwork and time management skills with minimum supervision
Practical and proactive thinking
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Other
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8am-5pm with ability to work weekends and overtime when required
Ability to pass Criminal Record Check
Health Canada Security Clearance is a plus or eligible to obtain
Ability to drive Forklift is an asset
