Construction Site Supervisor:

LIV Communities is a new home builder and land development company operating out of a head office in Burlington. We are seeking a Construction Site Supervisor to join our team


A Construction Site Supervisor will provide overall leadership for on-site field supervision and technical management for all construction operations, including direct supervision of onsite employees, subcontractors, and other construction related personnel.

The Construction Site Supervisor is responsible for directing and executing work according to the project plan, executing work on time, maintaining a safe workplace, and promoting and enhancing the company image.


Job Duties:


  • Leads to secure new work by participating as a part of core pursuit/preconstruction team to contribute to estimate, proposal, and/or presentation.
  • Actively participates in leadership roles during district initiatives, project pursuit and preconstruction activities.
  • Creates and influences safety culture as a mentor and model.
  • Chairs project meetings and ensures minutes are properly prepared/reviewed and promptly issued.
  • Oversees the development and implementation of a quality management plan and quality culture with stakeholder buyin.
  • Ensures the project is constructed as per design, budget, quality, and schedule.
  • Manages project performance, schedule, and resources.
  • Provides performance status reports for safety, cost forecast, and schedule.
  • Performs detailed project cost review.
  • Performs risk, opportunity management, and forecasting.
  • Oversees and/or verifies progress payments to clients and subcontractors, and monitor's progress.
  • Understands client expectations and contract.
  • Interfaces with the project team, client representative, consultants, and trade contractors.
  • Oversees project reporting procedures.
  • Negotiates and issues subcontracts, revisions, and major purchase orders, and monitors their progress and schedule.
  • Understands and enforces the contract/contract documents and resolves disputes.
  • Participates or leads claims/dispute negotiations with owner and trade contractors.
  • Oversees all change orders, including negotiating, processing, and assessing cost and schedule impact.
  • Oversees overall project closeout, including document archival, maintenance, and warranty manuals, deficiencies, and warranty work.
