How to Apply:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Secondary school education or equivalent
- Demonstrated knowledge of ice resurfacing and equipment maintenance,
- Good knowledge of facility operations, maintenance practices and procedures
- Good communication, and interpersonal skills
- General repair experience as it relates to mechanics, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
- Good safe work practices
- Current First Aid, CPR, AED training (or willing to obtain)
- Valid Class G driver's license and acceptable driver's abstract
- Acceptable Police Records Check
Assets:
Any of the following
- Preference given to applicants who possess a Basic Refrigeration Certification
- Certified Ice Technician, Ice Making and Painting Technologies, Ice Maintenance and Equipment Operations, Advanced Refrigeration, or HVAC (R)
Facilities Operations Duties:
- Involved in the operation and maintenance of the facilities.
- Provide direct support to facility users.
- Reviews assignments and event schedules for maintenance and use of facilities
- Assist with ensuring facilities are ready for use and machinery and equipment are functioning properly.
- Ensures that facilities are maintained in a safe, clean, and attractive condition.
- Maintains ice surface through ice resurfacing, ice maintenance, ice thickness checks, and refrigeration system monitoring.
- Provide functional guidance and supervision of part time staff
- Ensure patrons and users abide with the Respect and Responsibility policy and facility rules.
- Assists in ensuring that Occupational Health and Safety practices, policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
- Ensures that fire prevention practices and regulations are adhered to.
- Documenting maintenance duties, rentals, daily routines, emergency services, health, and safety practices.
- Other relevant duties as assigned.
Hourly Rate:
$22.77 per hour
Hours per Week: 0-24 hours per week - rotating shift including weekends & evenings
