JOB SUMMARY
Takes care of logistics and customer service activities such as responding to inquiries, supporting delivery personnel, handling complaints, all in a prompt, courteous and efficient manner.
Responsibilities also include answering the phone, and other clerical duties requested by the supervisor.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Route distribution and support to delivery drivers on the road (monitoring).
- Follow up on orders and notify the customer of any activity related to their merchandise.
- Correct inventory errors and communicate daily with the client and the operations team to address various issues. Provide proof of shipment to the customer if required.
- Prepare, classify, and distribute billing papers for delivery partners and ensure accurate billing by checking invoices generated by the system.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients by responding to all their requests in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Maintain communication with carriers regarding pickup and delivery of loads
- Prepare various reports for the management team
- Control all documents associated with orders.
- Coordinate the implementation of a logistics plan to achieve delivery time and productivity objectives.
- Participate in the implementation of work procedures developed jointly with operations, transport, and customer service.
- Responsible for ontime shipments as prioritized by customer ensuring daily workload is executed well.
- Monitor productivity levels of operations and communicate problems to supervisor.
- Train staff, when necessary, on procedures, policies, and special projects.
- Promote a clean, safe, and positive work environment
- Other duties as required
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Completion of secondary school or college or equivalent business administration experience is preferred.
- Related logistics experience would be an asset.
