Over the top roofing is a residential/commercial roofing business that specializes in asphalt and metal roofing.

We are looking to hire experienced roofer(s)/shingler(s) and experienced labourer(s).We are looking for people who are reliable, dependable and show up to work on time.

Someone who wants to work, is ambitious, self driven and self motivated. Attention to detail is key. Taking pride in your work is a must, we don't cut corners. Our aim is to do the absolute best job possible. Integrity is of the utmost importance.

Roofers Job Duties:


  • Install and repair asphalt/metal roofs using hand and power tools (roofing hatchet, roofing gun, nailer etc.)
  • Use hand tools and other equipment (e.g Hammers,ladder,ripper,harnesses and ropes)
  • Follow safety rules
  • Lift weight Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
- install decking, underlay, drip edge, and shingles on roof

  • Build roofs using various materials and tools

Labourer Job Duties:


  • Remove shingles with ripper
  • Dump shingles
  • Ground cleanup
  • Clean gutters
  • Separate materials (metal,shingles,wood,plastic)
  • Remove debris from roofs
  • Assist with Install Ice/water shield
  • Assist with Install underlayment (paper)
  • Feed shingles to roofers/shinglers
- restock nails, shingles, staples and other jobsite materials

  • Run shingles up ladder (occasionally)
  • Use hand tools and other equipment (e.g Hammers,ladder,ripper,harnesses and ropes)
  • Lift weight Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
  • Follow safety rules

Work site environment/Conditions

  • Heights, Outdoors (various weather conditions)
  • Various locations
  • 812 hour shifts
  • 7 days a week (weather permitting)
  • Fastpaced environment
  • Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Repetitive tasks

Certification

  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Fall Arrest (we will provide training if you don't have it)

Wages/Pay

  • 2040/hr
  • Weekly pay

Requirements and skills

  • Experience as a roofer
  • Some carpentry skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Handeye coordination.
  • Experience using various hand tools and equipment
  • Lift weight Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
  • Physical strength and good balance
  • Ability to work at heights for long hours
  • A valid drivers license is an asset (not mandatory)
  • Own vechile is an asset (not mandatory)
  • Follow safety rules

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Part-time hours: 40 per week


Salary:
$20.00-$40.00 per hour
