The Opportunity:


The Research Laboratory Scientist reports directly to the Clinical Scientist/Lab Director and is responsible for the quality conduct, design, and development of laboratory assays and protocols, as well as involvement in various mediums of knowledge translation (KT) and publications.

This includes results reporting, basic science, translational research, and training of laboratory staff.

The role also includes developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Laboratory Manuals (LM), and other documents that regulate quality laboratory performance.


Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday; 8:00 am to 4:00 pm


Your Qualifications:


  • Master's degree in bacteriology, microbiology, immunology, or other laboratoryrelated programs
  • Relevant Ph.
D. Degree (Microbiology, Immunology, Biology, Science) and/or 2-4 years minimum related experience is required. Relevant experience within a university, hospital, or comparable environment in a research setting is considered an asset

  • Excellent knowledge of Laboratory Quality Management, Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP), and Biosafety as appropriate
  • Excellent time management skills and experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
