    Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in communications or related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience providing administrative support, preferably in an educational or public sector setting.
  • Effective oral and written communications skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated success communicating internally and externally on behalf of an executive and organization.
  • Outstanding planning, organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution and de-escalation abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and ability to work well under deadlines and in stressful situations.
  • Skilled in learning and using a variety of technology programs to gather, create and manage information.
  • Demonstrated success conducting research for an organization's executive team is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Zoom, Infinite Campus, Finalsite, SchoolMessenger, mybudget file and Skyward systems preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Organizes daily operations in the Superintendent's Office and communication with School Board members and the public.
  • Responds to questions or concerns from internal and external constituents by providing answers or directing them to the proper person, department or school.
  • Reviews communication to the Superintendent and School Board members, gathers information and drafts responses on their behalf.
  • Prepares and reviews reports, articles, presentations, minutes and other communication for the Superintendent, School Board members and other administrators, as directed.
  • Schedules meetings for the Superintendent, prepares and distributes agendas and related materials, and maintains minutes of meetings. Ensures required follow-up actions are completed after meetings.
  • Assists Superintendent's Office staff in maintaining efficient work flow in the office.
  • Conducts research for the Superintendent, other administrators and School Board members, including review of policy and law.
  • Oversees fulfillment of data requests to the Superintendent's Office, including gathering and preparing data for release.
  • Provides administrative support for Superintendent and School Board members.
  • Responsible for the preparation and management of School Board meetings including:Attends meetings Prepares the meeting room and materials Prepares School Board meeting agendas, public notices and minutes for publication in the district's official newspaper Maintains recordings of School Board meetings as required by law and district policy
  • Serves as contact with School Board members in scheduling special board meetings, committee meetings and meetings with citizens, as needed.
  • Obtains signatures from board members on documents, as needed.
  • Serves as a notary public for district personnel.
  • Performs other duties, as requested.

    $81,010 - $87, depending on qualifications
