Job Description:

What You'll Be Doing

Client Service- Distribute client anniversary statements and notifications to the appropriate Estate Planning Specialist (EPS) on a timely basis- Follow-up with the state Planning Specialist to ensure timely service and reviews are provided to the client when policy anniversary statement and lapse/late payment offer notifications are generated- Forward any policyholder service requests received from clients or state Planning Specialist to the insurance company within the set service standards- Respond to client enquiries or direct to the appropriate staff member - must be insurance licensed in order to discuss any insurance related items with clients

Administration- Support the EPS with all administration in accordance with policies and procedures of CIBC Wood Gundy Financial Services- Order required medical tests from the paramedical company, as well as any other underwriting requirements requested by the underwriter- Follow-up on pending cases from approval to settlement- From SmartOffice review the weekly pending case and underwriting requirement reports and advise the Estate Planning Specialist of updates on pending cases, within established turnaround times- Maintain accurate and complete client files- Ensure destruction of client files as set out on the retention schedule- Run various reports using SmartOffice

Sales and Marketing- Prepare insurance illustrations using software provided by each life insurance company- Obtain "special" or "inforce" insurance illustrations from the insurance carriers as requested by the Estate Planning Specialist- Plan and organize seminars, lunch and learns, workshops and product launches for clients- Maintain the Estate Planning Specialist's calendar- Execute various administrative tasks as required by the Estate Planning Specialist (e.g. arranging travel/hotel bookings, preparation and submission of expense reports to Head Office, preparing courier shipments, and coordination of marketing initiatives)- Update/maintain on a daily basis the Estate Planning Specialist's pipeline report in SmartOffice

What We're Looking For- Relevant post-secondary education is desirable- Financial Services and/or Insurance industry experience and knowledge is mandatory- Valid Life Insurance License preferred- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel- Previous experience working within a sales/customer service oriented environment- Previous experience working within the Insurance industry highly desired- Proven ability to pay close attention to accuracy and detail- Well-developed communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills- Proven ability to remain organized in a fast-paced, high pressure, deadline oriented environment- Proven ability to work with confidential information- Well-developed confidence/independent judgment/problem solving skills required working in an environment with mínimal supervision- Self-motivated- Ability to multi-task- Ability to work independently
