Join our team as an Permanent, Part-Time
Intensive Adult Residential Care Worker working at our residential site located in
Ladner.
:
Friday and Saturday, 4pm - 9pm. The starting wage is $28.32 per hour, plus 10.6% in lieu of benefits. Staff can also pick up extra hours in house.

About the Opportunity
As a Intensive Adult Residential Care Worker, you will be actively engaging supported individuals to live a fulfilling and independent life.
This means you could be helping an individual to discover more of their community, learn new life-skills such as cooking, physical fitness activities, art classes, or seeking employment.
You assist with their physical, social, emotional, educational and recreational needs.Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Understanding complex behavior and consistently responding to it,
- Following an individual care plan,
- Developing monthly plans and facilitating activities based on client's interests,
- Documenting activities and observations in the client's file and communication log,
- Physically assist individuals with activities including swimming, walking, laundry, and recycling
- Must be physically healthy to aid in lifting and transferring of persons served and be able to provide personal care including hygiene and toileting.
- This position requires union membership.
Qualifications
- Emergency First Aid & CPR
- FOODSAFE Level
- Unrestricted Class 4 driver's license; or the ability to acquire within probationary period
- Practical experience working with developmental and physical disabilities
- Postsecondary education in related field preferred
