Social Media & Communications Specialist

Remote | $42,000- $46,000


The Ontario Library Association is looking for a
Social Media & Communications Specialist who will be responsible for designing, creating, and delivering marketing and communications to support and promote all programs, publications, events, and services of the OLA.


If you are a creative communicator and content creator that thrives working with a small team supporting its members and volunteers, then OLA is the place for you.


Qualifications

  • Postsecondary education in marketing, communications, and/or graphic design.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly in InDesign and Illustrator. Experience in Adobe Premiere Pro and video editing software is an asset.
  • Highly skilled in publication, enewsletter, and magazine layout and design.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web development tools, such as Word Press.
  • Exceptional interpersonal abilities, able to engage the association membership and support its recruitment, maintenance, and functions.
  • Experienced with social media strategy and content creation, eoutreach strategies, and content management systems.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong time management and adaptability
  • Ability to interpret, visualize, and present datasets and web and social media analytics.
  • Knowledgeable in AODA (Accessibility for Ontario with Disabilities Act) standards and accessibility practices in web content and marketing.
