About the Opportunity:


Nova Scotia Health Project Managers on the Planning, Performance & Accountability (PPA) team work as internal consultants assigned to one or more portfolios.

They support transformation and operations planning across the province by overseeing large and/or complex projects comprised of dynamic and multi-disciplinary teams, from the design phase through to development, testing and implementation.

The Project Manager works within a complex network of healthcare professionals, and reports to their PPA manager as well their assigned portfolio.

They additionally collaborate with any Project Management Offices (PMOs) tracking their work, and support processes related to project prioritization.

Further, the Project Manager provides project management education, training and development opportunities to Nova Scotia Health staff so that smaller, lower complexity projects can be managed by others.


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Minimum of 5 years' leadership experience in consultancy services within private or public industry, project management, programs and services.
  • Project Management Certification (PMP) required
  • Master's degree an asset, particularly in health administration, leadership, masters of business administration
  • Knowledge and skills in the areas of Project Management methodologies
  • Certified Health Executive (CHE) and/or Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) designation an asset
  • Organizational change management certification an asset
  • Project Management experience in a complex health care organizational environment preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to multitask to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience in data analytics
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and influencing skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours:

75 hrs bi-weekly, "Flex-time" (Work day start and end times are flexible)

Compensation and Incentives:

$ $47.07 Hourly
