The Department of Law, Economics, Accounting and Finance in the Shannon School of Business at CBU invites applications for afull-time limited term position (1 year) in Accounting at the rank of Assistant Professor (or Lecturer depending on qualifications). This position will commence December 1, 2023 (or as soon as possible thereafter) until December 20, 2024.

The School delivers an array of popular programs including two undergraduate programs, four Post-Baccalaureate Diploma programs, and an MBA in Community Economic Development.

The Department is seeking collaborative candidates with demonstrated evidence of effective teaching and research in Accounting.

Candidates are required to have a PhD or DBA in accounting (ABD is acceptable) OR a master in business and the designation of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) in good standing.

CBU teaches programs on campus, off campus in locations across and outside of Canada, and on-line. The university and its partners will therefore provide opportunities for faculty members to teach in different modes in different locations as part of their regular workload. While these opportunities may not be available equally for all faculty positions in all programs, a clear willingness to teach in different modes and locations will be noted as part of your application.
