Description

We are seeking a Financial Analyst, Solutions to join our team in Toronto.

Partnering with Manager, Finance and Business Solutions, the Financial Analyst, Solutions will support the financial planning, reporting, and delivery of business insights for the solutions functions within People Corporation.

The Financial Analyst, Solutions will:

Review monthly financials, key performance metrics, and investigate major discrepancies in revenues and expenses.
Breakdown revenues by type (e.g. new business, inflation), number of cases underwritten, close ratio, and number of proposals delivered.
Support on monthend close and corporate finance to ensure the accuracy of P&L and other financial reporting.
Lead realtime financial performance monitoring.
Analyze business trends and historical data, support reporting manager on budgeting and forecasting.
Support reporting manager on crosssell projects and product economics analytics.
Support reporting manager to deep dive into costs/benefits evaluation, incremental revenue growth/client retention driven by market, product and underwriting.
Support management reporting in providing key insights of overall company financial performance.
Other adhoc tasks.

To be successful
as a Financial Analyst, Solutions with People Corporation, you will need**:

1-2 years of experience in finance and accounting related role, or experience in data analytics.
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
Proficient in financial modeling, analysis, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, power query, and Power BI.
Strong communication skills and the ability to establish and build relationships with various stakeholders.

**- MBA, CFA and/or CPA designation.
