After School Program Leader

Availability:
Part-time, 2-7pm Monday through Friday, 25hrs per week

About Oak Learners

Oak Learners is a private Alternative School and Learning Centre, offering a full-time elementary school for students in Kindergarten through Grade 8, as well as a wide variety of arts-based and enrichment programming, including tutoring, music, art, outdoor education, dance, yoga, day camps and more.

Main Duties:

Provide academic support and social/emotional coaching for students ages 41
Create, research and obtain programming tools that suit the needs of each individual students
Design program objectives, plan and implement daily programming for small groups of students ages 41
Maintain regular communication with parents about their child's participation and progress in the program
Support students in building confidence and selfefficacy and social/emotional skills

Required Skills:

Ability to work with people from various disciplines and cultures
Ability to problem solve
Time management and organizational skills.
Ability to assume responsibility, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Ability to work with mínimal supervision
