At our
Woodstock Facility, we fabricate and assemble components for heavy truck and specialty vehicles.

We feature various types of welding, metal forming, saw cutting, painting, assembly departments and manufacture everything from small components to large structures, sheet metal to heavy plate.


Job Description - Machinist
Responsible to set up and machine welded components to customer specifications. Select appropriate tooling to complete task in a timely manner. Able to use a variety of measuring equipment to assure tolerances are held.


Responsibilities:


  • Set up and machine weldments to drawing specifications
  • Select appropriate tooling for job requirements.
  • Review work orders for specifications.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery
  • Complete daily maintenance and repair logs
  • Communicate and assist coworkers, operators, supervisors, and lead hands when required.
  • Maintain and secure work tools.
  • Clean and maintain work area.
  • Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health & safety Regulations and Organizational Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Follow all lock out procedures when doing repairs, and adjustments.
  • Completion of ITP paperwork.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Your Skills Set

  • Grade twelve education or equivalent, with basic reading, writing, and some advanced mathematic skills
  • 5 years' experience working as a machinist or machine operator
  • Basic CNC fundamentals of a large boring mill
  • Advanced Skills (Journeyman level) required in one or more of the following areas:

CNC experience:


  • Ability to read, interpret, and create blueprints.
  • Experience using one or more of the following tools: Lathe, grinder, milling machine, drill press, and vertical / horizontal cut off saw.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team must have excellent problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of cranes, forklift trucks, and various lifting devices and equipment.
