Logistics Coordinator - HAL Industries ~ Surrey, BC

Status:
Permanent, Full-time

We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our logistics team.

Experience
Booking, managing and coordinating deliveries of products across Canada and the US
Coordinates product flow by working in a fast-paced environment to meet the needs of our clients and internal stakeholders
Maintains shipment tracking and reporting, updating the system and customer as needed
Helps ensure all necessary import documentation is available to optimize custom duties, brokerage and demurrage charges
Responsible for rocking with carriers and internal stakeholders on damaged, missing freight
Ensures that shipping and receiving records are entered into the system in accordance with quality procedures and reports any quantity/cost/quality discrepancies to the procurement specialists
Able to manage, lead and follow up with a team of customer service representatives
Experience in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable a definite asset (current software Progress Plus, moving to Quickbooks Desktop in 2023)
Experience with other HR duties an asset


Qualifications:

College diploma or university certificate in transportation management, supply chain management or operations management would be considered an asset
2+ years of experience working in a similar logistics role
Experience with the North American transportation market alongside good knowledge of geography and proven math skills
Problem-Solver - ability to solve problems, multi-task and set priorities while working independently in a high-performance team culture
Organized - enjoys coordinating multiple tasks and activities at a time and stays extremely organized
Experience with managing multiple spreadsheets, multiple customers and shipments at a time
Customer service experience with handling multiple vendors and maintaining great service levels and communication critical to this role
Detail-oriented - able to anticipate customer needs and track customer requests and requirements with ease

This is a hybrid role between logistics and administrative responsibilities
Pay range for this position is based on experience starting at $60,000 per year
