Shipper/Receiving/Yard Assistant

Job Summary

Perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse.


Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and confirming the amount received
  • Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards
  • Open lifts, crates, and other containers
  • Operate skill saw, sander, or other lightduty power tools.
  • Prepare parcels for mailing
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; Sweep, dust, and mop. Organize Yard and work areas
  • Keeping yard Clean and free of Debris
  • Keeping Project Bays Clean and Free of Debris
  • Capable of Lifting 50Lbs


  • General Yard Cleanliness

  • Dispose of Garbage, Organize Tools, Prepare Metal Cutoffs for Disposal
  • Able to Run Machinery
  • Forklifts, Pressure washer & other Misc Machinery
