Your mission

The Team Leader - Warehouse Department is responsible for managing, training and supervising the Warehouse team and organizing the workflow.

This is an 18-month contract position (Evening shift - 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm) reporting to the Supervisor - Warehouse.

Your main challenges

Organize the workflow for the Warehouse department;
Supervise the team; manage the breaks as well as the starting and ending time. Ensure that all the positions are covered, and if needed, request help to cover the position of someone on vacation or sick leave;
Ensure the cleanliness of the department, make sure that the EH&S and security measures are followed within the department;
Train new employees and supervise the training;
Ensure a positive and collaborative working environment;
Diffuse the working procedure to the employees and ensure that proper methodology is followed for each working station;
Bring all employees issues/problems to the Supervisor;
Make an inventory of supplies and order the necessary items;
Manage and monitor inventory counts;
Check inventory discrepancies and report or correct errors;
Communicate with Logistics department on all product status changes;
Proceed to warehouse shelving reorganization as required from time to time;
Run and maintain all kind of reports related to the department
Meet and exceed KPI for the department;
Other duties as required.

Profile:

High school diploma or equivalent
Three to five years of experience in a similar position is ideal
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with limited supervision
Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
Must be detail and customer oriented
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to perform various tasks simultaneously
Be able to be on your feet the entire shift with safety shoes
Periodic lifting up to 50lbs
English spoken and written
Working knowledge of Optifacts & Oracle systems an asset
Team player and ability to interact with other departments
Experience in optical field an asset
Flexible schedule must be available on weekends
