    Description

    We're on the lookout for a dynamic and skilled Driver Supervisor to become part of our crew in Windsor, Ontario, under the leadership of the Transportation Director. As the Driver Supervisor, your responsibility is pivotal in ensuring the secure and smooth functioning of our team of drivers across various locations: Windsor West, Windsor East, Woodstock, London, and Wallaceburg. Your role involves frequent assessments of current delivery routes and pinpointing areas for enhancing efficiency while upholding safety and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, uphold top-notch workplace safety standards, possess attention to detail, efficiency, prioritize customer service, strive for continuous improvement, and boast strong oral and written communication abilities.

    Your key duties include:

    • Supervising and leading a group of drivers for the western sites
    • Offering guidance, coaching, and backing to ensure peak performance levels
    • Supervising day-to-day operations, safety protocols, and processes
    • Collaborating closely with drivers and dispatchers to guarantee prompt service delivery
    • Organizing and arranging driver schedules, routes, and deliveries to align with operational targets and client needs.
    • Evaluating driver performance, conducting routine assessments, and implementing enhancement strategies whenever necessary.
    • Guaranteeing adherence to all transportation regulations and company guidelines, including safety rules and vehicle upkeep
    • Maintaining precise records and generating reports on driver activities, performance, and incidents
    Qualifications

    Here's what we're looking for:

    • Preference for AZ or DZ license, experience with roll-off or lugger operations is advantageous
    • At least 2 years in a supervisory position
    • Over 5 years of involvement in transportation, logistics, or solid waste sector
    • Thorough understanding of transportation regulations, safety measures, and compliance protocols
    • Outstanding leadership and communication skills, capable of inspiring and involving a diverse team
    • Solid problem-solving capabilities and a history of making sound decisions under pressure
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management software for tracking and reporting
    • GEOTAB familiarity is a plus
    • Active driver's license with a clear record
    • Flexible availability for varied shifts, including weekends, with post-hours accessibility via phone
