Position Description:
The Speech Language Pathologist assesses and treats inpatient speech, resonance, voice or language disorders of children ages You will be part of a multidisciplinary team and will communicate and review findings with relevant disciplines.
Here's What You'll Get To Do
- Assess and consult with inpatients who have speech, resonance, voice or language difficulties following cancer treatment, surgery, epilepsy, stoke or trauma
- Verbal and written reporting
- Work with multidisciplinary team and take part in family meetings, rounds and education
Here's What You'll Need
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario
- Previous experience in paediatric inpatient speech language pathology an asset
- Previous experience with Epic an asset
- Excellent skills in the areas of verbal and written communication, problemsolving, time management and evidencebased clinical practice
- Ability to relate to children and families
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams an asset
