Overview


Within the Management Reporting & Forecasting group, the primary function of Risk Data & Analytics (RD&A) is Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting (RDARR).

To execute on this function RD&A needs to source, consolidate, analyze, and certify exposure data and risk properties for use in limits monitoring.

This enable transaction flow and capital calculations and informs decision-making as the official corporate source for key risk properties.


The Risk Data Analyst in Risk Data & Analytics requires experience working with large and complex datasets, sourcing and joining data from various sources/databases.

Additionally, they require the ability to assess data quality while both recommending and implementing changes to improve it.

The Risk Data Analyst will also be involved in engagements with management and representatives from the Global Risk Management Group and delivering on priority initiatives in collaboration with their RD&A colleagues, customers and partner teams.


Discipline Summary

  • Executes and develops complex procedures in function of a largescale information infrastructure;
  • Is involved in the postassessment reporting as well as the aggregation of potential risks for the organization, facilitating priority setting as well as improving decisionmaking;
  • Oversees, executes and improves data certification procedures;
  • Produces and shares risk data across the organization to support riskinformed decision making and inform business strategy;
  • Communicates information regarding business risks with functions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produces operational and adhoc reporting to the target audience of EDC management in Risk Quantification, Enterprise Risk Management, Accounting, Internal Audit, the Risk Management Committee, and for submission to Corporate Plan and annual Financial Statements;
  • Investigates and resolves discrepancies with critical risk data and reports;
  • Researches and implements improvements to data certification procedures, tools and reports;
  • Initiates and leads engagements on new priority data, analytics and reporting deliverables and enhancements with key stakeholder groups as part of the RD&A service offering.
  • Elicits and informs requirements, develops and implements plans, designs and helps implement solutions to address key data, analytics and reporting needs of RD&A stakeholders;
  • Contributes to the management of partnering relationships with internal clients, building effective working relationships and providing highquality professional services to support in delivering business strategy and plans;
  • Helps ensure sound governance practices are applied, including processes, procedures and documentation as well as policy compliance and audit engagements;
  • Performs analytics and assist in the creation of reports and dashboards;
  • Analyses specific problems and issues to find the best solutions, technical or otherwise;
  • Uses data from a wide range of sources to analyze key themes and identify possible impacts on the business;
  • Assists in the review of critical risk reports.

Screening Criteria

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related relevant discipline
  • Minimum 5 year of experience of data analysis, business intelligence, data quality and governance or related experience.
  • Experience of advanced MS Excel
  • Experience with SQL
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance / Quality Control Methodologies
