The Payroll Analyst is responsible for supporting the Payroll Operations Team with daily payroll functions including assisting the team with the bi-weekly payroll process, management of employee inquiries, preparation of ROEs, and tax forms and various projects.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Support the day-to-day payroll activities within the Payroll Operations Team including preparation and processing of the biweekly payroll, the preparation of ROEs and tax forms.
- Assist with payrollrelated investigations escalated through the HR Service
- Case Management System.
- Support the preparation of ad hoc reporting requests using the SAP payroll system
- Assist with yearend payroll activities (T4s, annual reconciliations, and filings)
- Assist with various payroll an HR projects including testing and documentation.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Excellent computer skills (e.g., MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
- Strong knowledge of Service Canada ROE Website
- Working experience and knowledge with SAP would be an asset
- Strong organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- National Payroll Institute Certification
- PCP or CPM Certification is an asset or working towards completion
- Practical experience with HRIS/Payroll and time & attendance systems
- 3 to 5 years progressive experience within a Payroll/HR team in the areas of human resource/payroll operations with high technical payroll knowledge
