About the Opportunity:


The ACP will work in collaboration with the nursing team and other interdisciplinary team members to meet patient care needs.

The ACP contributes to the efficiency and effective functioning of the department in meeting patient needs.


The ACP accepts responsibility for maintaining and continually enhancing competencies through ongoing professional development, including participation in education programs, research and continuous quality activities.

The ACP practice and conduct as defined by the professional registration body, College of Paramedics of Nova Scotia, ensuring that his/her registration is current and valid.


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Completion of ACP Program accepted by the College of Paramedics of Nova Scotia.
  • Five (5) years (minimum) of recent paramedic experience; previous Emergency Department experience an asset.
  • Required Certification/Registration/Designation:
  • Registered and licensed with the College of Paramedics of Nova Scotia
  • Certification in CTAS
  • Certification with Heart & Stroke in ACLS
  • PALS
  • Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, patient assessment and telecommunications skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

  • Permanent, Full-Time position(s); 75 hours biweekly

Compensation and Incentives:

$ $35.86 hourly
