About the Job:


The Territory Sales Representative manages a territory of customers predominantly in the hospitality sector and are responsible for the following: growing sales and retaining existing customers by providing exceptional customer service, gaining new sales through new products and new customers, and providing customers training on food safety and sanitation through high-quality surveys and audits.

Role Responsibilities - all parts of your busy day:

  • Become knowledgeable about our business and the industry. Embrace learning, change, and growth.
  • Identify and solicit potential clients in addition to maintaining and growing sales relationships with existing clients.
  • Assess clients' needs, recommend, and assist in the selection of appropriate goods or services.
  • Stay current in the industry and research new products to introduce to our customers; prepare and update corresponding quotes; make recommendations and help to manage appropriate levels of inventory.
  • Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment and offered services.
  • Prepare sales presentations, proposals, or other materials to demonstrate the benefits of our services.
  • Administer sales contracts and customer records.
  • Establish and cultivate key customer relationships where appropriate/necessary so that we have a clear path to solve problems quickly, as defined by the customer, and grow the base business with a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Competently be able to perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on commercial laundry, dish machines and dispensing equipment.
  • Develop sales presentations, proposals, or other materials to illustrate benefits from the use of goods or services.
  • Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or service.
  • Prepare and administer sales contracts and maintain customer records.
  • Assess market conditions and competitors' activities to develop an awareness of emerging markets and trends.
  • Demonstrate safe equipment use and ensure that equipment is fully operational and optimized.
  • Ensure our customers and other technicians are properly trained on equipment and maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure documentation such as timesheets and work orders, are completed properly and are returned to the office before deadlines.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the organization to be successful in this role. This may require other functions and responsibilities to guarantee exceptional service for our customers.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or in another discipline related or trades training and 35 years work experience in a Technical Sales occupation.
  • A willingness to be handson technically and driven to share knowledge with teammates.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment and machines. (Min 5 years of mechanical experience)
  • Proficiency and the ability to read schematic drawings for efficient repair diagnostics
  • Working knowledge of Laundry Systems, and/ or CMA, Moyer Diebel and ADS glass and dishwashers is an asset
  • Understand all regulatory and safety requirements in the areas that affect operations of our mechanical warewash and onpremises laundry program.
  • Proficient in using laptop and tablet technology including but not limited to Microsoft suite of products specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Knowledge using mechanical warewash and onpremises laundry program controllers/programing.
  • Previous professional experience in foodservice, hospitality or grocery environment is an asset
  • Previous experience implementing and training teams on standard operating procedures is required. Proven ability to develop a team for providing exceptional customer service.
  • Managing and operating within our company policies and procedures.
  • You are detailoriented, able to work with little direct supervision; well organized, with the ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects and effectively follow through on projects.
  • Strong critical thinking, questioning, and problemsolving skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure and in an environment full of deadlines, providing accurate output.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills. Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and with a variety of different customers.

Other Requirements:


  • Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Be patient and courteous driving as you can expect to spend approximately 30% of the day in the car traveling between accounts.
  • Overtime, occasional weekends and oncall cover
