Responsible for transportation and warehouse operations with Tim Hortons Distribution, you have real impact in providing millions of Canadians with their favorite cup of coffee every day.

We are looking for a self-starter with an ownership mindset, strong safety culture, front-line leadership skills, and focus on process efficiency, continuous improvement, and customer service.


Under the guidance of the Senior Operations Manager, this position will be accountable for managing 80% transportation/delivery activity and 20% warehouse processes within the Edmonton Yard.

The goal of this position is to foster a climate of continuous improvement and in turn protect and enhance the reputation, values, and integrity of the Distribution Center through superior customer service, positive employee relations, security, safety, operational efficiency, and profitability.


Qualifications
years of leadership experience within the warehouse and transportation/freight logistics industry

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, process improvement, customer service and decisionmaking skills
  • Knowledge of Transportation regulatory compliance (Ministry of Transport, Hours of Service etc.)
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and food safety
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fastpaced environment
  • Class 1 driver's license would be considered an asset
  • Cross dock experience would be considered an asset
  • Proficient computer skills in MS word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee all distribution activities for Tim Hortons across Northern AB and lead about 50 employees including Supervisors, Truck Drivers, and Warehouse Team Members
  • Drive engagement of the team with high touch inperson interactions
  • Ensure successful results of Transportation performance matrix such as On Time, Route Efficiency, Scorecard
  • Identify areas of opportunity for improvement and implement solutions
  • Address and respond to Restaurant inquiries, concerns, and Customer Service inquiries
  • Drive effective communications to the team including drivers' meetings, JHSC and ad hoc messaging to the workforce
  • Support and develop the performance of the transportation supervisory team including performance reviews, corrective action and KPI monitoring
  • Organize, direct, and manage warehousing operations including daily flow of inbound and outbound products to ensure production requirements are met for new and existing stores across Northern Alberta
  • Ensure safe working environment and drive safety culture including food safety
  • Ensure compliance and training standards are met
  • Work with senior leadership to develop and document standard warehouse and transportation operating policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective workplace practices and processes
  • Work with other departments to maximize operational efficiencies, reduce bottlenecks and troubleshoot issues that may arise
