- Implement and enforce safety practices and protocols in alignment with organizational standards.
- Ensure all employees, subcontractors, and visitors operate in a safe environment.
- Promote a culture focused on eliminating incidents, injuries, and illnesses.
- Collaborate closely with Health, Safety, and Environment teams.
- Monitor project schedules and ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and operational readiness of wind turbine systems.
- Develop and manage project execution budgets, driving operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of construction progress and site data.
- Build strong working relationships with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and represent the organization's values and standards.
- Support accurate billing documentation and accounts receivable processes.
- Establish effective staffing models to meet project objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Assistant Construction Managers, Technicians, Coordinators, and site personnel.
- Foster a motivated, aligned, and high-performing team environment.
- Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Apply structured problem-solving methods, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement practices.
- Manage site assets including vehicles, tools, equipment, and office facilities.
- Adjust plans and priorities based on changing conditions and competing demands.
- Demonstrate accountability, ethical decision-making, and cost-effective work practices.
- Understand and fulfill contractual obligations and deliverables.
- Ability to work full-time on active construction sites with frequent travel.
- Strong communication skills (English and French required)
- Ability to lead teams in a professional and respectful manner.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field is an asset.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Construction Manager, Project Manager, or similar leadership role.
- Technical background in electrical systems, substations, hydraulics, or heavy rotating equipment.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, schematics, and complex problem-solving.
- Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and cost management.
- Proficiency with MS Office; experience with project management software (e.g., Primavera) is an asset.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and remote construction environments.
- Ability to meet internal safety certification requirements (e.g., electrical safety, fall protection, confined space).
- Position requires 100% travel to construction sites across Eastern Canada.
