Manager, Nutrition and Wellness - Mississauga, Canada - Compass Group Canada
Description
The objective of this position is to develop, manage and advance Compass Group Canada's Nutrition and Wellness platform by ensuring regulatory compliance and recipe compliance to nutrition standards, developing promotions, internal and external communications, as well as supporting operational, client sales and retention needs.
Now, if you were to come on board as ourManager, Nutrition & Wellness, we'd ask you to do the following for us:
- Develop & execute programs or initiatives to ensure compliance to nutrition-related regulations in Canada (e.g. Ontario Healthy Menu Choices Act, Packaged Food Labelling, Informed Dining)
- Research new and/or emerging Canadian nutrition regulations, identify gaps and make recommendations to senior leaders
- Advance and execute Compass Group Canada's internal Nutrition and Wellness program, including but not limited to: recipe reviews, collaboration with culinary, nutritional comparisons, and making recommendations on product sourcing
- Develop and execute nutrition and wellness promotions, including but not limited to: developing innovative consumerfacing nutrition and wellness promotions, brainstorming and proposing new ideas to increase the availability and visibility of nutritious foods in our operations; and liaise with culinary for wellness focused menu development
- Train Staff and Associates on wellness initiatives
- Support operations, as needed, on nutrition and wellness related requests
- Communications to both internal business partners and associates as well as external clients and business partners on our program.
- Advancing the FIT+ platform (internal created program).
- Assist in the adherence of the WELL certification program at WELL certified accounts.
- All other administrative tasks and duties as requested to support the role and team.

- Registered Dietitian in good standing with the Ontario College of Dietitians
- 35 years of experience in a related field (previous experience in a corporate setting or operations is an asset)
- Passion for Food
- Experience in marketing material development and communications
- Ability to be innovative and "think outside the box"
- Ability to multitask and manage numerous tasks simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to provide effective reports, briefings and presentations to support decisionmaking
- Ability to work cooperatively and directly with the general public, clients and senior leadership
- Canadian and Provincial Regulatory knowledge, especially with Ontario HMCA, is an asset
