Tandia Financial Credit Union (Tandia) is actively seeking summer students for full-time opportunities within our Hamilton and Halton regions for the duration of the summer.

You will be earning $22.61 per hour and work 35.5 hours per week.

Our students are a very integral part of our branches and very effective behind the scenes.


Examples of responsibilities may include:

  • Preparing paper and electronic records
  • Responding to members' inquiries
  • Reconciling financial records
  • Analyzing members' needs
  • Processing member transactions (cash and other general services as required)
  • Actively soliciting new business by following up on staff referrals, assigned member contacts and crossselling Credit Union products to our members.
  • Relationship building and growing our member base
  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail
Excellent member service is a strategy for most financial institutions, but for Tandia, it's a part of our DNA.


Requirements

  • Completed at least one full year of postsecondary education (College or University), preferably in Business, Economics, Finance or a related discipline
  • Valid student ID and returning to school full time in September 202
  • Starting in May 202
  • Experience using Microsoft Office
  • Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Reliable transportation
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to provide the highest level of service to our members
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills suitable for engaging with members of the public and colleagues in multiple levels throughout the organization.
  • Previous cashhandling experience is considered an asset
