IT Infrastructure and Cloud Analyst

Reporting to the Manager, IT Operations, the IT Infrastructure and Cloud Analyst is responsible of overseeing, from the technical perspective, the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC) network services including the on-premise IT Infrastructure and the Cloud based services used by CCC.
Roles and Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Participate in the CCC IT Infrastructure and Cloud strategy.
- Provide strategic technical consultation to the business and IT leaders, with security best practices as a priority
- Stay abreast with the latest, and relevant, technology solutions and advise the IT management on new technical solutions or replacements for the existing.
- Create shortterm tactical solutions to achieve longterm objectives that are aligned with the IM/IT strategy for CCC.
Acquisition & Deployment
- Develop and presents business cases to the IT Management for the selection, testing, installation and support of new IT infrastructure equipment or cloud services.
- Review onpremise network services, improve the existing VPN architecture and remote access methods.
Operational
- Participate in the installation, configuration, maintenance and support of the IT infrastructure hardware and the Cloud Services.
- Ensure effective procedures are in place for Backup, Contingency or Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery services.
- Participate in the Service Desk tasks and ensures that the tickets assigned are updated regularly and the work progress is communicated to the end users.
- Solve familiar and unfamiliar IT Infrastructure problems using analysis of similar incidents and external research, then proposing and implementing short and longterm solutions.
- Lead or participate in the IT Infrastructure and technologybased business projects.
- Collaborate with the project managers and business unit leaders for all projects involving technical projects and as needed.
- Advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, system impacts, and technology priorities related to the technology projects.
- Adhere to the CCC Policy Suite and related procedures and instructions.
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science or related field or an equivalent acceptable combination of education, training, and/ or related work experience.
- A minimum of 8 years' experience as IT Infrastructure specialist, or equivalent, with demonstrable ability to design, implement, and support IT Infrastructure strategy and roadmaps.
- Strong experience in M365/Azure AD and specifically:
- Experience working in a hybrid sync Azure AD environment (on premises domain synced to Azure AD)
- Experience with Endpoint Manager and onboarded devices
- Experience Managing Exchange Online
- Experience with Azure AD Conditional Access Polices
- Demonstrable experience with HP server hardware and networking appliances
- Experience with managing enterprisewide IT projects related to IT infrastructure and Cloud projects.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in presenting to and working with business units at all levels.
- English essential. Bilingualism in both official languages is strongly recommended.
