  • What YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

In this position, you will get to:

  • Assemble heat trace products in the Edmonton shop;
  • Junction Boxes, Winterized Enclosures, Controllers as examples but not limited to products produced.
  • Includes creating jigs, drilling, mounting and wiring of components
  • Troubleshoot basic electrical circuits, performing factory acceptance tests (FATS) and conversing with 3rd party to ensure material ordered is in accordance with customer request
  • Programing EHT controllers in accordance with customer request
  • Update and Maintain quality control and documentation and shop production boards
  • Material Handling responsibilities as required to ensure effective flow through shop
  • Ensure compliance to controls, policies and procedures
  • Assist in designing and creating certification labels for products using basic electrical knowledge
  • Create work packages for the fabrication floor, gathering the shop details and relevant QA documents
  • Create drawings using AutoCAD for Fabrication Product
  • You have:
  • Previous experience in fabrication or assembly work is beneficial but not necessary.
  • Previous experience in with electrical components; transformers, relays, PLC an asset but not necessary.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical circuits with mínimal supervision.
  • Ability to visualize component assemblies or do physical layouts of components to obtain a configuration that meets the customer's requirements is an asset.
  • A sound problemsolving approach; mechanically and electrically inclined.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Must be adept at working with simple hand tools such as a hand drill, screwdrivers, etc.
  • Must be able to read shop basic schematics; general layout and electrical drawings
  • Manual dexterity for assembly of components is required.
  • Physical capability of lifting controllers of up to 25 pounds (11 kg) is desirable.
  • Compliance with company safety rules and promoting a safe working environment.
