    What You'll Do

    As the Plant Helper, you will provide customers with on-time manufacture and delivery of product that is consistently within contract specifications, as well as ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction with respect to both product and service within a safe working environment Other duties will include:

  • Deliver quality product, on time to our customers as ordered.
  • Assist in site manufacturing process.
  • Assist to complete all required documentation and reports within time requirements.
  • Ensure that plant is in good mechanical condition for the safe manufacturing and storage of explosive materials.
  • Take part in site maintenance and magazine upkeep.
  • Reliable customer service.
  • Correctly use workplace hazard controls and PPE when exposed to hazardous materials, environments and procedures.
  • Comply with all regulatory, health and safety requirements and support the HSE Performance Standards in order to ensure personal safety and the safety of all employees, company assets, and the environment.
  • Participate in safety meetings, read safety documents (safety alerts, emergency plans, etc.) and report all accidents, incidents, and precautionary concerns (i.e. weather & road conditions, truck conditions, and customer issues) immediately.
  • Make certain that all regulations, both federally (Explosives Act, Bulk Regulations, WHIMIS) and provincially (OHSA) are adhered to within the operation in regards to personnel workings, product storage, and product transportation.
  • Attend specified training & development and maintain required certifications
  • What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to work a fly in/fly out rotation
  • Good work habits. Prior manual labor experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write and speak English and to communicate in written and verbally
  • Present oneself in a professional manner at all times
  • Ability to wear and care for applicable personal protective equipment (such as, safety glasses and shoes, respirator, hard hat and ear protection, safety harness) as required by site specific requirements.
  • Work Shifts that change due to the demand of customer deliveries, and site management requirements
