Summary:

The Production Planner ensures the Plant has 100% delivery by supporting Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost Objectives.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Update and Provide MTO Plan to Supervisor and Team Leads.
  • Plan individual departments based on scheduled and upcoming work to ensure that delivery dates will be met. Ensure that key team members have a copy of the plan.
  • Update Routings in QAD to reflect appropriate in/out times.
  • Communicate any known delayed or late orders to the Supervisor and Team Leader.
  • Maintain Priority List of high profile or expedited orders and ensure that critical dates are met.
  • Organize outside work and obtain POs from purchasing. Ensure Tsubaki Canada Ltd. is on time for outside vendors to complete their work to satisfy our customers.
  • Liaison with shop floor employees as required with respect to scheduling or technical assistance.
  • Work with Warehouse Team Leader to ensure that they are aware of items coming out of the plant and at approximately what time.
  • Provide MTO plan to be followed by PM shift in order to maintain OTD performance.
  • Must be able to work planned overtime and some incidental/occasional overtime.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

  • Post secondary education in a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of Direct manufacturing planning experience
  • Manufacturing process knowledge (specifically machining, welding, heat treat and finishing).
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings.
  • Ability to use ERP.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Suite of programs.
