Your opportunity:


The incumbent reports directly to the Manager of the Department of Biology and works collaboratively with stakeholders from the UTMOffice of the VP Research & Innovation, the Biology Teaching Labs, and researchers from various UTM departments.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Following rules and procedural instructions when preparing plants for delivery tolabs for experimentation
  • Following rules and procedural instructions when weighing and mixing fertilizersolutions
  • Providing detailed explanations on how to grow plant materials

Essential Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum two yeas of recent and related practical experience managing growth facilities in a postsecondary environment, including experience in supporting teaching, research and administrative functions
  • The job requires a moderate level of muscular coordination and/or manual dexteritywhere precision is essential. E.g., Pipetting
