The Mississaugua Golf and Country Club is one of Canada's top private all-season golf clubs, with a diverse membership of 1,400 members and an outstanding Tier One golf course famous for its excellence.

The Club has played host to numerous premier events, including six Canadian Opens.


Founded in 1906, MG&CC is a year round private club that offers golf, curling and tennis, dining, fitness and social amenities.

Our Tudor Clubhouse is a spectacular venue for casual and fine dining, banquets, weddings and various social events and functions.


Position Summary
Reporting to the Membership Director and collaborating with all departments.

The Branding and Multimedia Specialist will be responsible for creating visually appealing branding content and dispatching all communications for the Club to ensure our members are regularly informed and advised of the Club's key messages / initiatives, using a variety of communication methods.

This position also provides direct support to the COO on various member broadcast communication.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist departments with messaging and related media to ensure the communication of a consistent brand, across all F&B, club facilities and sports programs
  • Manage the preparation of marketing and communications materials, including: writing copy for broadcasts, website, Update newsletters, marketing campaign collateral and other marketing and communications material
  • Create content and broadcast communications as per established schedules
  • Solicit input from internal team regarding information to be communicated in communications
  • Establish policies and procedures relating to communication of information via various media to members and other stakeholders
  • Coordinate the annual development/updating and distribution of the Club Yearbook
  • Identify opportunities to innovate creative new communications methods to members
  • Utilize graphic designing skills to prepare print and design / develop image for the publications
  • In collaboration with the Membership Director, create and implement effective marketing and promotional strategies
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure that print and digital material is created error free and up to Club Standards
  • As required, singlehandedly produce, and proof content, and send "test" (only when required) for second review of content while taking ownership of final material. In other words, take responsibility and ownership of final product and conduct final check prior to circulation
  • Work with department heads and department members to ensure the completion of, including but not limited to: Annual Yearbook, Current Newsletter, Membership Info booklet, Academy Booklets, Takeout Booklet, Catering & Banquets Package, Wedding Package

Requirements:


  • Minimum three (3)+ years related administrative experience relating to marketing and communications
  • Hospitality experience is an asset
  • University or College degree an asset (Marketing, or Communications preferred)
  • Experience in marketing and/communications broadcasts, writing content
  • Experience with content creation for social media platforms
  • Ability to deliver high levels of service and responding to inquiries/requests in a professional manner and with a sense of urgency
  • Proven advance computer proficiency
  • Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power Point), enewsletter and website programs
  • Creativity and innovation to generate new ideas
  • Demonstrated skills in time management, planning, and organization meet tight timelines.
  • Proactive anticipates and initiates action to meet needs
  • Ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team
  • Able to maintain confidentiality / privacy of information
  • Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Self motivated with the ability to take initiative and be resourceful
  • Strong verbal communication skills written and verbal
  • Strong proofing skills
