Duties:

The new administrative team provides modern, executive support to the senior management of the directorate. It works to adopt and enable digitally-enabled administrative services to directorate employees. The team supports financial management, planning and reporting, and coordination of communication and training. This team seeks excellence in collaborative innovation and operational efficiencies

The department is the 11th largest in the public service with employees working in buildings right across Canada.


Recently, the Strategic Coordination Section was created with a number of teams including: a project coordination team comprised of IT staff; an IM/IT Planning and Coordination team also comprised of IT staff; and, an administrative team comprised of AS staff.


Intent of the process:

The intent of the process is to staff three (3) positions.

EDUCATION:


ED1 Successful completion of one year of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in a specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Degree equivalency


EXPERIENCE:
EX1 Experience analyzing information from multiple sources and providing reports to management on matters related to administrative activities of their organization (e.g., finances, human resources, procurement, information management, project management);
EX2 Experience using an electronic document and records management system (e.g., Sharepoint) including folder management, and records management;
EX3 Experience developing spreadsheets, presentations, and business processes to support decision-making.


EDUCATION (ASSET):
AED1 Certificate or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization in accounting, office administration, business administration or some other field of study relevant to the position;
AED2 Accreditation in project management;
AED3 Accreditation in change management;
AED4 Any other accreditation relevant to the position.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE (ASSET)

AE1 Experience in designing and implementing communications plans, products or engagement activities to guide clients or managers;
AEX2 Experience in data visualization and reporting;
AEX3 Experience in administrative services related to finances;
AEX4 Experience in administrative services related to travel, hospitality;
AEX5 Experience in administrative services related to requests for information;
AEX6 Experience in administrative services related to procurement;
AEX7 Experience in administrative services related to business planning and reporting;
AEX8 Experience using Microsoft Sharepoint as an electronic document and records management system.
