Immediate openings for Interior Glass Installers for Full-Time positions in the Commercial & Residential Sectors across the Lower Mainland. Salary:
$30.00 to $$45.00 per hour depending on skill level & experience

Overtime:
Time and a half after 8 hours a day or 40 hours a week.


Vacation Pay: 4%.


Extended Benefits:

Requirements:

• High School diploma.
• Must have Drivers License, Vehicle supplied by the employer

Completion of a three
- or four-year apprenticeship program or a combination of over four years of work experience.

• First Aid an asset
• Fall Protection Training an asset
• Must be able to work outdoors
• Willing to train / guide coworkers
• Ability to read, understand and interpret drawings and documents.

Duties

• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine type and thickness of glass, frame, installation procedure and materials required and do final measurements.
• Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products.
• Install glass and aluminum products according to specifications and building codes.

Position glass partitions into frames.

• Cut and shape glass according to specific measurements and design requirements, using precision and specialized tools.
• Ensure that installed glass is properly sealed and weatherproofed to prevent air or water leaks using sealants and weatherproofing materials to secure the glass in place.

Handling Specialty Glass: Take additional precautions to handle tempered or laminated glass during installation.

Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively to ensure customer satisfaction.

Working with Other Construction Professionals: Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as architects, contractors, and project managers, to ensure that glass installations align with overall project requirements.

Maintaining Tools and Equipment: Be responsible for keeping tools and equipment in good condition and properly store them safely for jobsite safety.
